Policies

In order to have the best dance experience, patrons are asked to respect and adhere to the following policies.

  1. Arrive at least 5- 10 minutes early to assure time for downtown parking and prep before class.

  2. Use the restroom in between classes without disrupting. Families should not interrupt the dance room to use the restroom in the rear of the building. Pre-school aged students can use the restroom during class.

  3. Adhere to dress code depending on the specific class. All students need their hair pulled back in a secure ballet bun or other secure hair style no messy hair in the face. Please no heavy jewelry or press on nails in children’s classes.

    Tuition / refund policy

  4. Tuition is due at the first of every month. Enrolling in auto pay is required for most children’s classes. Adults can utilize a drop in rate. Cards can be stopped immediately upon discontinued enrollment for any reason, but refunds are not available on tuition already run.

  5. Card issues / late payments result in late fees. Multiple payment issues can result in dismissal from the studio.

  6. Trial classes are for one month. If you would like to try a month of classes, one month’s tuition is required for the trial.

  7. Parents are asked to keep up with our calendar, holiday breaks, performing information.

  8. Not all students or groups are guaranteed to perform in a recital, showcase or event, or at the same event.

  9. If a parent commits to a performance and orders a costume, there are no refunds available on costumes regardless of circumstance.

    Communication

  10. If the studio closes unexpectantly for a bad weather day, or unforeseen circumstance such as a maintenance issue, a robo text shall be sent to the cell phone number on file for each student. Keep your portal up to date.

  11. All mass communication to members shall be through robo email and robo text.

  12. All private communication should be through misschloestn@gmail.com or phone call (865) 235 - 6627. Social media is not a reliable source of communication.

  13. Have a question or concern? Open communication is highly encouraged. Please call for a complex issue or schedule a meeting. Before and after class are not ideal for questions and parent meetings.

  14. Students’ class placement is at the discretion of the instructor. At any time, your instructor reserves the right to move your child to an alternate class or remove your child or family from the studio completely if there is an issue.

  15. Overcrowding: Please do not overcrowd our lobby. One adult only per child please.

  16. Parents are encouraged to watch class through the viewing window whenever the blinds are open. Blinds remain open year round for toddler / pres-school age students. Please respect privacy if the blinds are closed for older students and do not interrupt class.

  17. No unsupervised children in the lobby or outside. Our studio is on a busy main street. We do not allow drop off / pick up for preschoolers or early elementary aged students unless for homeschool cooperative. Drop off and pick up is allowed for parents of older children at their discretion, however students are dismissed to the lobby immediately after class is over and parents must be present for pick up.

  18. Disabilities/Medical: Please inform the studio of any disabilities or medical issues / allergies that we need to know in order to best serve your child/ you.

  19. Families must adhere to our studio-wide kindness policy and understand that failure to comply can result in dismissal from the school entirely without refunds.
